Do I need a Permit?

Some towns and/or counties DO require you to have a permit for a fence. We include information about the permit in our contract if you are required to have one.

Do I need to be present during my fence installation?

No, you do not need to be home during the installation. We do like to schedule a time to meet with you prior to installation to mark out the fence line with you and talk about any specific requests you have or address any questions you have at that time.

How deep are the holes dug for most fence types?

All posts are placed anywhere between 2-3 feet in the ground. The depth depends on the type of fence installed.

Should I stain or treat my wood fence?

Staining or treating your fence will help to protect it and prevent graying that occurs naturally with time.

How long will my wood fence last?

How long your fence last depends on the quality of wood you choose and how you care for it. In general, most wood fences last anywhere between 15 – 30 years.

Where can I find more information on installing and repairing fences?

We have started a page on our latest articles on fence installation and repair.
